Re: New Blue Haze Elementary Attendance Zone Boundaries
March 25, 2025
Dear Blue Haze Elementary Fourth Grade Families:
White Settlement ISD will implement new attendance boundaries for Blue Haze Elementary, effective with the 2025-26 school year. You are receiving this letter because your address will be impacted by the zoning change. However, any current fourth grader and his/her siblings will be grandfathered and may continue to attend Blue Haze in 2025-26. If you have a kindergarten student who currently attends the West Early Learners Academy, he/she may also attend Blue Haze with his/her siblings in 2025-26.
All other current Blue Haze students in grades 1 through 3 will now attend the Fine Arts Academy, which is relocating to the current Tannahill Intermediate site as part of the 2022 bond program. The Fine Arts Academy at Tannahill, located at 701 American Flyer Blvd., will become a first through fifth grade neighborhood elementary school as well as a choice school for families desiring an emphasis on the visual and performing arts.
The new attendance zones will enable WSISD to balance enrollment at both Blue Haze and the Fine Arts Academy. This change will provide additional classroom space at these schools and meet the needs of our growing school district.
Please complete the Interest Form no later than Monday, March 31 so we may save your child’s spot and plan for the upcoming school year.
If you wish to begin attending the Fine Arts Academy in 2025-26, district administrators and Fine Arts Academy Principal Brooke Mielinski will be available during Blue Haze’s Open House and STEM Night from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 3 to answer any questions or concerns and tell you about the amazing opportunities at FAA.
More information is available at www.wsisd.com.
We look forward to the opportunity to visit with you about these new changes.
Sincerely,
Frank Molinar
Superintendent of Schools
