My name is Morgan Moore and I have the privilege of serving as the school counselor at Blue Haze Elementary. I taught 2nd grade at West Elementary in White Settlement ISD before transitioning to this position. I am beyond excited to interact with all Blue Haze students and provide them extra support throughout the year. As the counselor, I will see each classroom once per six weeks for a character education lesson. I will also facilitate small groups and lunch bunch groups throughout the year to get to know students and to help them be as successful as possible. I am also available to meet with individual students to discuss anything weighing on their minds or their hearts. I also frequently meet with teachers as well as parents/guardians to work as a team to help students develop healthy habits, handle feelings, and life events.
My mission as the school counselor for Blue Haze Elementary is to create a comprehensive program that empowers all students to challenge themselves to meet their fullest potential. The counseling program will address the academic, social, emotional, and career needs of all students. This goal will be accomplished by involving the parents, families, staff, and community members who are engaged in the learning process. I am committed to upholding the highest ethical and legal standards, as well as participating in professional development in order to keep up-to-date with the best practices in school counseling.
Please feel free to reach out to me via email, phone, or a note in your child’s folder if you have anything you would like to discuss with me. My door will always be open.
